I hope everyone had a great Easter! It was a good day for me and Jared. Church was nice. Our calling now is in Primary. Jared and I teach the CTR 5 class. We have 4 girls and 1 boy. The little boy has autism and one of our friends, Kelly, has a special calling just to be with him. He is such a sweet boy. The girls are sweet too, but man, they can really be handfuls; they'll just randomly say something, in the middle of the lesson. For example, as I was teaching, one of the girls said, "You have long hair!" Ok, thanks. It's cute...for a while. Anyways, we were hoping that 1 or 2 kids would be in class on Sunday; however, all were there but one. The girls would not sit still (I think some candy must have been partaken of that morning. So, needless to say it was an interesting afternoon.
Anywho, Jared and I relaxed for a bit before going to Noel and Sarah's place for Easter dinner. I am very proud of myself because I made my first ham! It turned out pretty good. We bought a ham with a brown sugar glaze, which we've never had, and it wasn't too bad. So, now I can say I've made a ham. I wish I had taken a picture to capture the moment, but I didn't have my camera. But I don't think I'll be making another ham anytime soon. There were a lot of leftovers; ham sandwiches galore! Then after dinner, Noel, Sarah, Jared and I played a game of Phase 10. I haven't played for a few years. So, it was really fun! Once again, I have to brag because I won! And I have to say that I have not won any games of Phase 10. So, it was fun for me, at least.
Again, I hope everyone had a Happy Easter!

Man- you have been busy posting! I love to see all the new pics. sounds like you guys had a good Easter.
Grand Falls looks like fun. We went once and it was amazing! We need to go again sometime!
Wow, I feel a liiiittly famous right now. Thanks.
And the sunbeams (I don't care if they're CTR 5's now... they'll always be Sunbeams to me and act that way, too) are insane. They just are. There's no getting around it.
But you do have long hair, so it was an astute observation. Ü
Wow, such a busy little blogging girl are you! I loved your pics! You look exactly as I remember you guys. I can't believe it's been two years since we seen eachother! And two years since we got married. Crazy how time flies! I love keeping in touch with you guys! How's the baby thing coming along? We are going to see a fert specialist in April....so we'll see!
hi...if you go to cutestblogontheblock.blogspot.com. i believe that is where i got it.
how fun! i know what you mean about not making another ham...they are tasty when you haven't had it in a long time, but then you have to eat it for the next week like every meal! Phase ten is my FAVORITE game. I miss the old days of playing RISK together!! miss you guys.
It was good to see you guys on Sunday! So I have the greatest idea...Why don't we play a friendly game of tennis on Thursday afternoon, come back to our house or yours and watch Smallville??? Would you guys be up for that? Let me know k. If not this week, then we should definitely try for next week! You guys are the greatest and I'm so glad we're friends! :) Talk to you soon.
oh....very cute background! the pips were not there. it was just gladys knight with her LDS choir. so cool though.
i just read ashlee's post and if we lived in flagstaff still...i would want to play tennis and come over too. lol
J-rod & Rachel,
Greetings from the Laytons. I'm wondering why Jared is too good to call his old friend Sam back. Call me back you wanker. I was reading your blog and could not help but notice the striking similarities in our Church service. Last year Kristen and I taught Primary (CTR6) and we too had a little boy with autism. It was quite a challenge, but a great experience. Anyway, thanks Rachel for taking the time to drop comments on our blog from time to time. Give us a call, we'll hang out.
